Batch #25

There is this comfortable yet unsettling feel to the morning.
I rise up and make my way down.
Preparing my coffee, the morning sunlight is blocked by the curtains.
A faded glow of light touches the floor.

I take a seat in the corner chair.
The tv is playing in the background.
It sort of feels like home, but it never really is.
I stare at the corner in the room.
There is nothing there.

I sip my coffee slow.
The taste giving me a nostalgic vibe.
Just so many little things, making everything more acceptable.

The drops of caffeine washing away the loneliness.
The scent of coffee making the empty room more lively.
The warm cup embracing the cold heart inside.

Just so many little things, making everything more acceptable.
Today the sun falls in the east.
